Braided Spaghetti Bread

Braided Spaghetti Bread:

This is perhaps the most visually appealing meal I've ever made!  My sister often tells me that I need to take her "culinary photography" classes, so note that the picture doesn't due justice to the meal!

Bread Dough
Spaghetti Noodles
Spaghetti Sauces
Cheeses, of your choice (shredded mozzarella perhaps?!)
Browned hamburger, if desired
Egg
Italian spices

Prepare a loaf of bread dough, or thaw a boughten loaf.  I prepare mine in the bread machine.

4 cups of flour
2 tsp quick rise yeast
3 TBSP Vegetable oil
1 3/8 cup water
3/4 tsp salt

Mix the above ingredients and allow the bread machine to do the rest!

While the dough is being prepared cook spaghetti noodles, about 6 oz.

Roll the dough out into a rectangle.  Using the middle of the rectangle combine the rest of the ingredients.  Lay down the noodles, top with sauce, cheese, hamburger and spices.

Once all of the ingredients are placed in the center of the rectangle, cut strips, about one inch deep (towards the ingredients) along both sides of the rectangle. Starting at one end, alternate crossing the strips of dough to cover the spaghetti.

Use the beaten egg to coat the top of the braid and sprinkle spices on top.

Bake at 350 for 30 minutes.  Enjoy!  (After cooking, you may cover and freeze.)

  2. Hi Whoever, I find no first name in your profile. I came to this site through your sister's site bragging about the Cinnamon Rolls you make in a bread maker. Her link brought me to the Braided Spaghetti Bread; and while it looks both interesting & delicious it is not Cinnamon Rolls.I don't see a recipe for CR in your index at the top of this site. From 2012: "If you enjoy Mexican food and pastas, this month is for you! This month's meal plan:
    (recipes coming soon)
    Taco Pasta
    Extreme Sandwiches
    Bubble Chili Dog Casserole
    Chicken Enchiladas
    Stroganoff
    Crunch Wraps
    Taco Pie
    Corn Noodle Casserole
    Marshmallow No-bake Cookies
I don't see these recipes on this site. I was especially interested in the No-Bake Marshmallow Cookies. Am I looking in the wrong place? And where is the Cinnamon Roll recipe? There was another list for the last 1/2 of September 2012, I don't see most of those either. Looking for the Frito Pie. I understand that as teachers, you're very busy, but either your website needs to be better organized so visitors can find things or you shouldn't tease with what you can't deliver. Why can't Blissful Baker Kris just post your Cinnamon Roll recipe as well as the picture on her site? Thank-you, don't like being so negative, but this was a frustrating visit. Thanks.
